Clinical Supervisor Job Description; Healthy Parenting Program
JOB TITLE: Clinical Supervisor
EMPLOYER: A Child’s Place, PA
DEPARTMENT: Healthy Parenting
REPORTS TO: Coordinator, Healthy Parenting
EFFECTIVE DATE: 4/1/2022
STATUS: Exempt, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30AM to 4:00PM; possible evenings and weekends (scheduled with advance notice) when needed.
SUMMARY: The Clinical Supervisor works to advance the overall mission of the Healthy Parenting Program of A Child’s Place, PA by providing clinical supervision to the Parenting Educators who administer the Triple P, evidence-based, Parent Training Program. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor provides trainings and education to ACP staff and outside organizations and continuously supports a positive environment with families, team members and ACP staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Healthy Parenting Program Duties:
Attend Triple P training and certification sessions
Provide weekly clinical supervision and oversight for each Parent Educator which includes maintaining documentation of the sessions, reviewing the Parent Educator’s written documentation, and providing clinical feedback on their work.
Develop, implement, and monitor training and plans for Parent Educators based on the needs of clients; training must be reflective of best practices and congruent with state regulations and licensing entities.
Oversee the maintenance of participant records in accordance with audit and contract requirements
Complete reports for funding sources
Collaborate with other staff, parents, and community stakeholders to promote the program
Ensure fidelity to the Triple P curriculum though peer review with other staff members
Maintain and document personnel files
Maintain documentation and databases, on a daily basis, of all services provided in accordance with CAC protocols and local, state and federal laws, including evidentiary laws.
Become familiar with all ACP programs and be able to present information on those programs during trainings.
Support a positive environment for families, team members and all others within and outside of ACP, representing the agency in a positive manner.
Build positive community collaborations and relationships with referral agencies. This will entail making sporadic visits to referral agencies (spontaneously or scheduled), building rapport, and becoming familiar with staff.
Assist with reception/intake, general office duties and facility upkeep at all sites, as needed.
Act in a professional and respectful manner with all families and ACP staff.
Provide assistance with other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clinical supervision to all Parent Educators, reviewing documentation and session notes and providing clinical feedback. Maintain an ongoing log of required peer review and trainings required of Parent Educators. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other members of staff, outside agencies, institutions and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s or PhD with at least 3 years of experience providing individual and group
Counseling services, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience providing individual and group Counseling services.
Must have at least 2 years of Supervisory experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience providing clinical supervision for staff working in family support programing, Triple P, or home-based services.
Must have Act 33/34 Clearances
Must have Act 73 FBI Clearance
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
Must have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills and PC literacy; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management strongly preferred.
